Aysegul Buyukkidik is a Sustainability Project Supporter at Metsims. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and Master’s degree in Management at Oxford Brookes University, U.K. This educational background allows her to combine technical know-how with a strategic management approach. As part of her role in the Metsims team, she is responsible for the preparation and development of LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) reports. In these processes, she ensures that data analysis and documentation studies are carried out in accordance with international standards. She is also actively involved in EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) projects, providing critical support to planning, reporting, validation and verification processes. Buyukkidik, integrates her expertise in the textile sector into sustainability projects and develops innovative solutions that minimise environmental impacts by making analyses in line with sectoral needs. At the same time, she closely follows industry trends and global innovations, bringing a strategic perspective to sustainability projects. She undertakes various responsibilities at both technical and strategic levels in projects carried out in many sectors, not only in the textile sector. She also adopts an effective project management approach to ensure timely and successful completion of project processes. In order to share her expertise in her field of work, she supports the organisation of in-house trainings and contributes to knowledge sharing within the team. She has very good command of English.
