Buğra Bayır is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, while also continuing a Double Major Program in Civil Engineering. During one stage of his academic journey, he studied Environmental and Resource Management at Brandenburg University of Technology in Germany through the Erasmus program.
Aiming to build a career focused on sustainability, Buğra previously supported corporate carbon footprint calculations and contributed to the development of a project that forecasted and reported potential reductions in clients’ Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. In addition to his academic work, Buğra has actively taken part in volunteer activities throughout his education. He strengthened his skills by serving as a Board Member of the ITU Environmental Engineering Club and by taking coordinator roles in various projects.
Motivated by the goal of contributing to a more sustainable future, Buğra is currently working as a Sustainability Project Intern at Metsims Sustainability Consulting. In his role at Metsims, he supports Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) studies.
