Bengü Doğruel

Bengu Dogruel works as a Sustainability Consultant at Metsims. She has actively led and managed numerous projects focused on developing best practices in risk management and sustainability, conducting due diligence processes, and assessing climate-related risks. She has delivered successful outcomes across various industries by strengthening risk-based approaches in corporate sustainability strategies, accelerating compliance processes, and ensuring alignment with national and international regulations. In addition, Bengu has worked extensively on emergency response plans and reports related to marine oil pollution, where she developed risk assessments and strategic solutions to mitigate environmental impacts. She holds the Environmental Management Service Competency Certificate, issued by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change of the Republic of Türkiye. This certificate authorizes her to provide environmental management services, appoint environmental officers, and oversee legal compliance processes for companies. Bengu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering and a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Engineering, both from Istanbul Technical University. She is fluent in English and makes effective contributions to Metsims’s projects at both technical and strategic levels.
