Gül Yağmur Karademir

Gül Yağmur Karademir is a graduate of Environmental Engineering from Marmara University. During her undergraduate studies, she worked in the retail sector within Inditex, supporting recycling and environmentally friendly practices as a sustainability ambassador. Throughout her education, she gained hands-on experience through internships at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Intertek, where she took part in field and technical activities related to waste management, wastewater processes, environmental and energy management systems, as well as auditing and certification. In her senior thesis, she focused on an innovative technology for nitrogen removal from wastewater and participated in a TÜBİTAK-funded project. She is currently working at Metsims as a Sustainability Project Support Specialist, actively contributing to corporate carbon footprint calculations and the development of sustainability-focused services.
