Türkü Açar is a Sustainability Consultant at Metsims with nearly five years of professional experience in sustainability. Her career background covers EU Green Deal regulations, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), carbon accounting, and corporate reporting. She has previously worked as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist and LCA Analyst in multinational companies, contributing to projects on product durability, repairability, electric vehicles, and battery sustainability. At Metsims, her responsibilities include corporate carbon footprint accounting and reporting, supporting data collection, analysis, and verification processes for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and preparing reports aligned with international standards such as the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064. She also provides regulatory analysis and strategic consultancy on the implications of EU regulations including CBAM, ETS, CSRD, PEF, EUDR, and the Digital Product Passport (DPP). In addition, Türkü contributes actively to Responsible projects and delivers sustainability consultancy across multiple sectors.
