EU Eco-Label

Environmental labels (EU Eco-Label) are voluntary certifications that show that a product or service has less environmental impact, contains fewer harmful chemicals for human health and is more sustainable.

It is used to provide accurate, reliable and provable information about the environmental dimension of a product or service, proving that products have relatively lower environmental impacts and prioritising them as environmentally friendly products, and in this respect, it increases the prestige of the company in terms of sustainability. Although there are different types and systems of environmental labels as Type I-II and III, ISO 14024 Type-I environmental labels are environmental labels given by third party organisations to products that meet a predetermined set of requirements.

The EU Eco-Label, also known as the EU Ecolabel or the Flower Label, is a certification scheme that identifies products and services that have a reduced environmental impact throughout their life cycle.

To qualify for the EU Eco-Label, a product must meet strict environmental and performance criteria established by the European Union. These criteria cover aspects such as energy efficiency, water usage, waste generation, and more.

The EU Eco-Label provides consumers with a reliable way to identify environmentally friendly products. It can also help companies differentiate their products in the market, enhance their brand reputation, and contribute to a more sustainable economy.
